Juneteenth is BIG This Year
We’re fiercely celebrating Juneteenth this year as a generation of Civil Rights activists watch their grandchildren run the current Black Lives Matter revolution. It is a day to celebrate our survival and resilience over the past 400 years: a day to celebrate and uplift our gifts, culture and community.
Juneteenth Should Be A Paid Day Off
Good Shepherd Infant and Toddler Center owner, and Our Director, is giving her for-profit business employees the day off because Juneteenth should be declared a national holiday. Cortaiga Collins believes in the power, beauty and resilience of the Black community in St. Louis, which is why she wanted her employees to celebrate Juneteenth.
“With everything happening in the world, I want to see my community experience joy and fellowship this Friday,” Cortaiga Collins said.
